The correct adult fare will be charged to your card and you’re ready to ride. A two-hour transfer will also automatically be applied to your card – make sure you tap with the same card each time you transfer within the two-hour period, or you will be charged a new fare. Note: physical cards and digital cards for the same account are considered separate cards by the TAP system.

FAQs

For full details and updates, visit the TAP Contactless Payment page.

Tap your contactless credit or debit card or your mobile wallet on the TAP validator – this is separate from the farebox that accepts cash. If you’re using a physical card, make sure to take it out of your wallet so the correct card is charged. If using a smartphone, unlock your phone and select the card you want to use in your phone’s digital wallet. The reader will confirm your payment and then you’re ready to ride.
