       Carol Herrera

      Chair
      Diamond Bar Councilmember Carol Herrera was elected to the Foothill Transit Board in May 2009 and was elected to serve as Vice Chair in 2010 and Chair in 2011. She was elected to the Diamond Bar City Council in November 1995. She currently serves as the Chair of the Four Corners Transportation Coalition, is 1st Vice Chair of Los Angeles County LAFCO (Local Agency Formation Commission), and is a member of SCAG (Southern California Association of Governments) Regional Council and its Transportation Committee. Previously, Herrera has served as President of San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments and President of League of Cities, Los Angeles County Division. Herrera, a resident of Diamond Bar since 1966, has three children and seven grandchildren.

      Vice Chair
       El Monte Mayor Pro Tem Patricia Wallach, a longtime advocate of public transportation, is now serving a 4th term on Foothill Transit’s Executive Board as the representative for Los Angeles County.  Wallach was elected to serve as Vice Chair of Foothill Transit's Executive Board in 2011.  She was first elected to El Monte’s City Council in 1990 after having served as a member of the El Monte Union High School District Board of Trustees.   A lifelong resident of the Los Angeles area, Wallach attended Montebello High School and Pasadena City College and has served on various boards including the League of California Cities, San Gabriel Valley Association of Cities, Independent Cities Association, Los Angeles Regional Library Advisory Committee, and the West San Gabriel Valley Air Quality Committee to name a few.  She has three children.


      Paula Lantz
       

      Treasurer and Auditor/Controller
      Pomona Councilmember Paula Lantz was elected to the Foothill Transit Executive Board in May 2003 and was elected to serve as Treasurer and Auditor Controller in 2011. She was elected to the Pomona City Council in April 1991. Lantz is the Immediate Past President of the Inland Valley Economic Development Corporation and chairs the Pomona-Walnut-Rowland Joint Water Line Commission, and the Governing Board of Tri-City Mental health. A registered social worker, Lantz worked at the Hillview Acres Children’s Home, where she was a foster care coordinator. A lifelong Pomona resident, Lantz has a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Pomona College and a master’s degree in education from Claremont Graduate School.

      Board Member
      Arcadia Councilmember Roger Chandler was elected to the Foothill Transit Executive Board in May 2008 and served as Chair in 2010. He has been elected to three terms on the Arcadia City Council and has served three times as Mayor. After retiring from the Sheriff’s Department after 24 years of service, he went on to become the Chief of Police of the Los Angeles City Housing Authority and in 1994 he created the City of Hawaiian Gardens Police Department. Public safety, water quality and the provision of effective and efficient municipal services have been the thrust of his public service record. He and his wife Jane, have lived in Arcadia for over 36 years

      Board Member

      Mayor Doug Tessitor has been on the Glendora City Council since 2003; served as Mayor in 2006-2007, and Mayor Pro Tem 2005-2006. He was elected to serve on the Foothill transit Executive Board in 2011. He received his BS in Business Administration and MS in International Management. Mayor Tessitor is also on the Gold Line Joint Powers Authority Board whose focus is to participate in the planning, funding, designing and construction of the Gold Line Phase II;  the LA Works Board of Directors which coordinates efforts of cities to implement programs for human services; the San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments which provides regional and cooperative planning and consideration of government services in the San Gabriel Valley; and the Southern California Association of Governments which focuses on promoting livable communities in Southern California.  Doug and his wife, Cyndy, are long time residents of Glendora. They have three children and are the proud grandparents of five grandchildren.
